Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations

Schiaparelli: Dress designing ... is to me not a profession but an art.

Prada: Dress designing is creative, but it is not an art. 

Fashion designers make clothes and they have to sell them. We have less creative freedom than artists. But to be honest, whether fashion is art or whether even art is art doesn't really interest me. Maybe nothing is art. Who cares!

개인적으로 좋아하는 건축가중 한명인데 도쿄 롯본기 힐즈에 이어 두번째로 가보게 된 설래임.

스케치를 살펴보면 자신의 건축물을 무작정 튀게 만들려고 한게 아닌

옆에 위치한 Louis Kahn의 건축물과 조화롭게 하기위해 같은 grid를 사용한 것을 볼 수 있다.

주변 건축물과의 존중과 배려, 의 이해와 조화롭게 해석.. 

프로 건축가와 아마추어 건축가의 차이가 아닐까

차가운 콘크리트의 사이로 직사광선을 걸러낸 따뜻한 햇빛이 흘러 들어온다..

루이칸은 로마나 그리스의 정원을 참조했을까..

직선과 곡선, 콘크리트와 대리석, 유리와 나무

이 현대적인 건축물이 1972년에 지어졌다니...

옆서 두장 책 한권을 구입.
